Royal Academy of Dance Exams
Some of Bell Ballet's pupils took part in Royal Academy of Dance examinations and class awards recently.
For some younger pupils it was their first experience of participating in an exam as they were entered for the Primary in Dance award. There was a mixture of excitement and nerves as candidates prepared their hair and numbers, but after last minute changes to the timetable, a barre that had to be fixed and a battery that had to be replaced in a beeping smoke alarm, the resounding emotions were of relief and pride!
Well done to all those involved and thank you for all your hard work.

RAD South East Awards 2020
To celebrate the Royal Academy of Dance's centenary in 2020, some of our dancers took part in the RAD South East dance awards. Held at The Point in Eastleigh, the dancers took a non-syllabus class with other dancers of the same grade, giving them the opportunity to dance with their peers in a new environment and take class with a different teacher. The judges were looking for strong technique, performance and musicality, along with the ability to recall the steps. All the dancers did extremely well and enjoyed participating in this event!
Here is Emily from grade 3 with Miss Lauren after receiving her participation certificate!
Congratulations to Eleanor (pictured below) who was one of just a few pupils from across the South East region to gain a place in the finals! This will take place in May at the RAD headquarters in London!
Ballet Fair Success!
Emotions ran high on Saturday 10th February 2018 as friends and family gathered together to see Bell Ballet pupils perform at the Catholic Church Hall in Stubbington. Pride and joy were felt as the audience enjoyed the hard work and talent of the pupils coming together, evident by the beaming smiles and 'Mrs Bell's happy tears'.
The choreography showcse, in particular, was a huge successa nd thanks and praise must go to those puils involved and their mums and dads who clearly put a lot of effort into the costuming and props.
We raised £360 from entrance fees to go towards costumes for our next production, 'Sleeping Beauty Snippets' in December- Official announcement coming soon!!!!
Thanks also to those who helped out on the day, Dancewear of Fareham who had a stall and to Martin Bell Photography for capturing some beautiful moments and precious memories.
